About exhibition
The artist writes...
"My aim is to enable the viewer to reach beyond the canvas to a magical sense; to depict ideas which cannot be represented by visible means: 'to make the invisible, visible'. I hope that the viewer's perception will be heightened, to search within the self for responsive ideas and images.
"My work is concerned with the dynamic, mysterious world of creation. The abstract images provide a parallel to nature but do not depict it. I use mixed media; an oil based medium, then washes of acrylic paint. The paintings evolve gradually, in an organic way. I hope that these abstract images have something of the eternal.
"I also work in oils on canvas: landscapes based on observations made in England and France."
