  • About Sandra Fisher


    Sandra Fisher's main subject was the human figure. She worked from life using models, many of whom were actors, writers and musicians, as well as fellow artists. Her fresh and lively brushwork and sensuous colour reflected her joyous approach to life. This is a portrait of Jacob (Jake) Auerbach (born in 1958), the son of the artist Frank Auerbach and Julia Wolstenholme, friends of Sandra Fisher and her husband, the painter R.B. Kitaj.
