About Joy Bain

Joy has been producing work in Glasgow Print Studio over the past fourteen years. I have also worked in WASPs Studios for the past ten years.

The artist writes:

'Why Elvis? I've always been a huge fan of Elvis. My Mum's friend Babs introduced me to him and my sister and I used to dance in her living room to his records with her blind poodle Sasha. I thought he was the most gorgeous human being ever and remember being devastated the day he died. I wanted to pay a tribute to him, hence the exhibition "The Joy and the Bain of Elvis" which opened in the Brunswick in September 2004.'
